A black frangipani with a pearl – one that does not exist in reality. It represents the cycle of life and new beginnings. Inspired by Gaia where everything on Earth exists as one. A balance in conditions for our existence.
This pendant symbolises all this and more. Positivity, love, new life and renewal.
As with nature, each flower is slightly different. It takes time and care, lots of love and patience to create. The flower is glass enamelled (hot enamelled) to achieve a vibrant black colour. Enamelling with high temperatures is not an easy task for a dimensional piece. It comes with an adjustable chain that is 50cm long. This pendant is also available without a pearl, here.
I chose black for a frangipani because it is a combination of all colours of the spectrum. And like colours, each of us has so many facets to our personality and moods.
The significance of creating this flower is that each of my jewellery is something new, something that becomes a reality when I create it. It is unique, just like you and me. An individual. This is the hallmark of my creations.
